Listening
“The biggest communication problem is that we do not listen to understand but we listen just to reply.”
- Listening is the first skill you have to acquire to become a fluent speaker.
- Your brain should be trained to grasp the information and retain it for later retrieval.
- Interruptions cause distraction, so avoid them to the maximum and be relaxed to process the information that would help you to respond with the apt words.
- A good listener can only be a good speaker. So, never jump to conclusion before listening to the speaker.
- Give space to your brain to craft a mental model of the information for a better communication.
